Competition is not a hot topic for me, because I am calm about other retouchers and retoucher-teachers.

To experience envy means to be unsure of yourself, weak, to doubt what you are doing. And I’m not one of them.

If someone has achieved more success than me, I will be happy for him, it means he put a lot of time and effort into achieving this result.

I don’t see the point in comparing myself with someone else, both in retouching and in teaching retouching. After all, everyone has their own path, their own history of development, their own vision.  Some people achieve everything themselves, through trial and error, while others get help from others to achieve quick results in their business. We are all individual and different, and that’s the thrill.

If you compare yourself with others, then very soon you will burn out from this feeling, you need to realize and understand at what stage you are now and at what stage the person with whom you are comparing yourself is. In most cases, you are at different stages. I don’t need to take a steam bath. After all, this person was once at the same stage as you are now. Just walk confidently in your direction and don’t be afraid of anything.

I don’t see competitors in retouchers (and teachers), because for every retoucher there is a customer and a student. The world is big and there is enough for everyone. There is no need to put a spoke in others' wheels. Bring beauty into the world with the help of retouching, because it is such magic.

I believe that “retouching should be loved, not used.”
